What is a Blog?

A blog or a web-log is a site consisting of entries or posts. Generally the most recent posts appear first. Blogs typically have features like commenting and links to increase interactivity. Blogs are created using specific soft-wares. But more commonly they are created using online sites such as blogger.com, blogspot.com etc.

The World Before Blogging : A decade or two ago internet was at its initial stage whereby users viewed various websites just to get some essential information they needed. But as time went on websites became more interactive based and delivered the viewer a ‘quality’ experience. Then came the introduction of transaction based sites and online shopping sites where you could buy things online. But the online world remained one sided. That all changed with the evolution of web2.0 wherein the content provided by the sites became an integral part. today users expect a two way conversation.

Blogs Today : Even today the internet is becoming more social. Blogs and blogging has gained immense popularity throughout the world and has become an important part of the daily ‘net surf ‘. Today there are over a 100 million blogs in the blogging world with many entering each day. Blogging has evolved into a platform whereby you can express anything you wish to. Thus it has greatly inspired and affected the politics in the world as well as the mind-set of people.

Future Of Blogs : The future is simply too bright for blogging. It might be an exaggeration but its a fact. Many multimillion corporate as well as political leaders have recognized the power that blogging possess. Even a person who is not very familiar with the online world can star blogging. Thanks to the wide range of online tools and website available for blogging. So if you are one who is not part of this world wide phenomenon than join this blogging world. Say ‘yes’ to blogging!

    I keep trying to download these pictures my friend sent me but it says “Retrieving” Then it only says “OK” and I don’t see pics.

    I’ve had 2003 on my computer and I just got 2007 and put it on. After it was finished downloading I tried opening Outlook and it says “Cannot open your default email folders. The file ____ (it says the file name but it’s really long) is not an offline folder. In the top left corner of my screen it says “Migrating Account Settings” as well. So I guess it was trying to open and whatnot.

    I have seen many CGI filled movies including big budget movies such as transformers and GI Joe, they inspired me to try and make my own CGI, or visual effects. Can anyone tell me how to get started? I have done a bit of research, apperentally I need a 3d software, adobe aftereffects for effects, and a green screen? for 3d I have Maya, can anyone tell me if Maya can generate animations. Please help me to go in the right direction. :)

    Normally most people will run a benchmark progam after purchasing a video card The benchmark program can be run again later to see if the card is still performing like new or if it has problems. The usual first problem seen in a graphics card that is failing is artifacts during rendering. That is when you see images usually polygonal based or lack of on the screen. If you are having scrolling problems on a website it is usally the websites problem not yours.
